Twitter's new 280-character limit has gained more engagement than the previous 140-character limit claims data site SocialFlow.

As reported by Madison.com, the findings of SocialFlow told via BuzzFeed News echo's the finding of Twitter's own report which stated that tweets over 140 character gained more engagement and followers.

The average retweet and likes of 140 character was 13.71 and 26.52 while of 140 and above was 29.96 and 50.28 respectively.

Meanwhile, Jessica Verrilli, Twitter's vice president of corporate development and strategy tweeted that she will depart from the company after almost nine years.
