Amazon brings its Treasure Truck across the pond for UK debut

Amazon is putting itself in the driving seat once more by bringing its popular Treasure Truck concept over from the States for its UK debut.

The shopping experience with a difference will tour the country offering visitors the chance to scoop up an exclusive limited-edition products or cheap deals several times each month.

London and Manchester are the first destinations to be punched into the funfair-style converted truck, seeking to emulate the success of its American counterpart which has driven into 24 cities offering items ranging from the SNES Classic to GoPro cameras marked down by 65%, Hatchimals and the latest Harry Potter book.

James Quick, head of Treasure Truck, commented: “We all remember the sense of excitement we felt as children when we heard the jingle of the ice-cream van, and we hope to bring that same feeling with Treasure Truck.”

Bargain hunters will have to be quick however with only a limited stock available to purchase, by snapping up the deal using their Amazon app first before choosing a convenient time and location to pick up their buy from the truck.

Amazon recently opened a new Shoreditch HQ.
