In its latest 'Trust is Power' spot, Wieden+Kennedy ramps up the 'what if' factor by imagining a world without trusted Duracell batteries, where Santa loses his sleigh, his reindeer and his job.

Santa is jobless in latest Duracell spot

In its 2017 holiday campaign, Duracell takes us through the nightmare that would ensue without Duracell batteries, in which Christmas becomes chaos. In the 60-second film, created by Wieden+Kennedy New York and directed by Biscuit Filmworks’ Andreas Nilsson, Santa imagines what would happen if he didn't deliver the Duracell batteries with his presents.

His imaginary nightmare scenario sees him replaced by a svelte 'Nu Santa', elves hanging up their hats, his sleigh repossessed, the last reindeer flying away, left cold and alone living in a squalor and finally the last feather in his cap, him being mocked online.

The film is accompanied by a series of radio Christmas carols and social content. See the selection of spots by clicking the Creative Works box below.
