Ink Digital rebrands to become Woven

Ink Digital has rebranded as Woven.

Ink Digital has announced a full rebrand, changing the trading name of the business to Woven.

The agency, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Halifax, Yorkshire, also operates offices in Leeds, London and Melbourne.

Explaining the reasoning behind the rebrand, Helen Darlington, chief executive officer at Woven said: "The marketing landscape has been reshaped in ways that even the most forward-thinking pundit couldn’t have imagined back in 2002. For quite a while now, we’ve been painfully aware that the ‘digital agency’ moniker no longer sufficiently encompasses the breadth and diversity of our work. These days we are as much about brand development and creative strategy as we are about building beautiful websites and digital experiences. Our solutions are much more likely to encompass multiple channels and touchpoints, both on- and offline.

“We feel that the new brand – Woven – far better reflects the business that we have become, and the nature of the team; individual strands carefully crafted, honed and brought together to create something greater than the sum of its parts. We also love the fact that the name connects us to our past, hailing as we do from the world-famous cloth manufacturing Yorkshire town of Halifax, while speaking to the ever-growing level of interconnectedness that permeates all of our lives today.”
