The ad 'No Sherry for Santa' has a Gothic appeal to it and takes the viewers into the depths of The Alchemist lab to discover what it means to challenge conventions this Christmas. The man in the video is The Alchemist's Birmingham general manager, John-Paul McGrath, who is wearing a bespoke creation made by fashion designer Ben Mak.

The Alchemist announced the launch of five new winter cocktails to celebrate the season, the specially curated drinks menu includes festive takes on old classics such as ‘Mulled Negroni’, and the back by popular demand ‘Snow Joke’ which includes; vodka, green apple liqueur, white chocolate cream, and a dash of winter and snow.

Jenny McPhee, head of brand at The Alchemist said: “We really wanted to challenge the norm with our latest ad, as a brand we like to be individual with our thinking and create something unique and exciting for our customers.”

“Traditionally, the UK is used to seeing the typical ‘sadvertising’ and emotive focused Christmas ads during the festive roll outs, and we wanted to challenge that - and give our guests another reason to visit. The Alchemist sets out to break through the norm to deliver the unconventional and that is something I really think we have achieved with our Christmas ad.”
