Cotswold Raw dog food appoints AUK for social media management

Cotswold Raw, a natural dog food brand which creates premium Biologically Appropriate Raw Food (BARF), has appointed AgencyUK (AUK) to implement a branding and social media strategy.

AUK has started work, creating original content and developing a brand tone of voice for Cotswold Raw, including the development of a character for the brand’s fictitious spokesdog Arthur.

Prior to commencing social media management, AUK underwent a process of research and planning, developing the positioning ‘Uncooked. Uncompromised.’ for the brand, celebrating the raw, premium nature of the product. The agency proposed a campaign to drive brand awareness, engagement and prime potential customers for sales; with brand mascot Arthur already having a visual identity, AUK recognised the need to give the brand a tone of voice which would work through social media and other channels.

Chris Brierley, co-founder of Cotswold Raw, was impressed with the AUK team: “[They came] onboard at the right time for us to accelerate our growth to becoming one of the leading UK pet food producers. Cotswold Raw is a new entry to the rapidly growing raw dog food category, having only been in operation for 18 months when work commenced with AUK earlier this year. With the majority of sales being through retailers, one of the brand’s key goals is to increase online sales. AUK’s strategy looks to grow Cotswold Raw’s social media audience and convert these fans into customers.

The partnership has already seen positive results with a significant uplift in both reach and engagements following just over a month’s work.
