Nick Aldrich, one of the original founders of content creation agency Hangar Seven which was sold to The Hut Group earlier this year, is using the experience he has built up during 25 years in the industry to create and launch a new agency management system.

Agency247 is a new cloud-based software platform that Aldrich says will revolutionise the way agencies manage and interact with their clients. The new platform has been designed to work alongside any existing agency management system and can be accessed for less than £50 per month.

The platform, developed by Aldrich’s new venture Pixel BBQ, has been developed in conjunction with a number of other agency professionals to change the way agencies collaborate with their clients and manage briefs, proofs and assets.

Talking about the platform development Aldrich commented: “I’ve been fortunate to have been in the agency business for over 25 years. When I first started in the early 90’s it was the revolution of the Mac and we all know how that changed the creative industry forever. However, in my opinion the way that agencies have adopted technology since, to better the way we work with our clients, has been slow, if not at all.

“Many agencies will now use some form of agency management and albeit these may have made the agency more internally efficient it's not really changed how agencies interact with their clients. Some agencies use proofing platforms such as proof HQ to share proofs and collate amends. Some will utilise asset management systems to store and manage their client’s assets. Some use base camp to collaborate with their clients on projects but there has never been a single solution that covers all of this and more.”

Steve Moncrief, director of Ewe Agency, which has been beta testing the platform for a number of months with its clients, said: “Pixel BBQ have taken all of the key ingredients of the industries most popular platforms and blended it into one affordable platform. We love it, it makes job creation and briefing easier and better, our clients love the proofing tools and the ability to create a client DAM adds value to our agency/client relationship. I think it’s what the industry will want to adopt as normal practice.”

Aldrich, who left Hangar Seven in 2014 and has since been involved in a variety of leadership roles, added: “Our platform also provides a way of working that helps to glue clients to the agency by locking in the IP and assets, and what’s more it creates a more efficient way of working both internally and externally. Marry client portal to the Agency247 agency management system, which is launching soon, and you are assured of a very efficient and more robust agency.”

Setting up a trial portal with no commitment is completely free and even comes with a test client so you can play around with the platform and set up dummy jobs and add assets to the DAM. For your free trial of Agency247 click here.
