The judging process for The Drum Digital Trading Awards APAC has taken place and the nominations are now being revealed.

This will be the first year that these awards, which aim to rid the confusion surrounding the programmatic sector by highlighting the companies that are majoring on clarity and transparency, have been brought to APAC.

Judge Dan Robins, head of programmatic and data at Spotify, said: "I think it's super important to recognise the amazing work happening across APAC and, considering this was the first year for the awards it was great to see the excellence in strategy and execution put forward from across the region.

"I was particularly impressed by the number of multi-channel entries and the range who were able to show digital and data transcending outside of "traditional" display and video and into 'real world' solutions for advertiser challenges."

Four categories stood out strongly with the judges this year: best mobile campaign, best use of performance, most effective use of data and best video campaign.

Chairman of the judging panel Chiradeep Gupta, global media director at Unilever, said: "It was a great experience judging the entries for these awards. There were entries that stood out from the rest and it was impressive to see the depth and width of work across the categories."

The nominations for best video campaign are: Essence, Entropia, FUSE Hong Kong, Omnicom Media Group and M&C Saatchi Mobile.

Those who made the shortlist for best use of performance are: Acquire Online, CtrlShift, Infectious Media, M&C Saatchi Mobile for Grab and Zalora, Mindshare Singapore and PHD India.
