The Drum Scottish Creative Awards reveals 2017 shortlist
Judges for The Drum Scottish Creative Awards have made their decisions, so the nominations for this year’s event can finally be revealed.

What stood out for the panel were strong entries from the digital, TV/cinema and design categories. They were largely delighted about the fact humour appears to be creeping back into the advertising world, considering how serious the industry has become.
Chairman of the judging panel, Lisa Nichols, executive creative director, TBWA\Manchester, said: "There were some stand out pieces of design and some truly memorable content films that generated a fair amount of healthy discussion amongst the judges (in a good way). It was genuinely good to see that there are still strong Scottish brands backing Scottish agencies."
The nominations in the category Commercial: over 21 seconds are as follows: Greenroom Films, Maguires, MTP, STV Creative and Whitespace.
On the packaging category, judge Josie Coetser, associate creative services director, Momentum Worldwide, said: “I loved all the little intricacies and considerations. There were certain entries in the category that are miles ahead in terms of design, that were eloquent, simple and classic and would certainly stand out on the shelves.”
The shortlist features Contagious, DO, FortyTwo Studio and RRDCreative.
The Scottish Creative Awards are the most prestigious awards for creatives in the country and award advertising, digital or design agencies in Scotland or those who have done great work for a Scottish client.
