Publicis Communications extends innovation footprint to Mexico

Publicis Communication Mexico has confirmed the formation of a new Drugstore unit to further the creative coms businesses reputation for innovation in South America.

Publicis Communications extends innovation footprint to Mexico

The first innovation hub to be located in the America’s the new unit will be headed up by prolific start-up investor and founder José Jorge Molina, who also counts himself as an ambassador of the Singularity University in Mexico and a fellow of the Atlantic Council.

Instigated by Alejandro Cardoso, Publicis Communications president & CEO, the Mexican initiative will give Publicis Drugstore a truly global footprint, joining existing locations in London, Hamburg, Johannesburg, Zurich, Mumbai, Sydney and Shanghai.

Cardoso remarked: “It is important to highlight that it is a great challenge for us to have the first innovation hub in America. This company combined the capabilities of all Publicis Groupe agencies with a proven methodology and strategic alliances with the start-up ecosystem in Latin America. We are convinced that Drugstore has the potential to be a tool catalyst that maximizes the potential of our talent, our ideas and our creative offering."

Publicis Drugstore aims to tackle future challenges through innovative thinking by hosting a range of company services including workshops, hackathons, an innovation day and corporate incubation.

Publicis has rapidly expanded its Drugstore footprint since launching in London back in 2014, opening its second outlet in Sydney the following year.
