McCann launches 'McCann Next' to target millennials

McCann Worldgroup Malaysia has launched 'McCann Next', a programme targeted at bringing young millennials and creatives together to collaborate on projects.

The programme plans to introduce live briefs on client projects to participants in the near future as McCann claims that several brands have already expressed interest in taking part in the programme.

The agency has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Saito College, one of Malaysia’s top communications design colleges, giving its students access to 'McCann Next'.

Shun Matsuzaka, who led a team at McCann Tokyo to create the world’s first A.I. creative director, will relocate to Malaysia to lead the programme. He will hold the position of digital creative director and will report to the chief creative officer, Ng Heok Seong.

“We are very excited to have Shun as part of our family,” said Sean Sim, chief executive officer of McCann Worldgroup Malaysia.

“He’s full of energy and enthusiasm. His appointment marks the next phase for our Malaysia office - that is to supercharge our growth and expand our digital footprint in the industry.”
