SO What Global will be housed within Havas’s Health & You business unit under the new name Havas SO. As part of the deal, existing Havas Group agency Health for Brands London will become part of Havas SO Group.

The agreement will add SO Healthy and SO Active, two complementary agencies under SO What Global’s umbrella, to Havas Group’s agency roster. SO Healthy is a health and wellness communications agency, while SO Active is a consumer lifestyle agency that focuses on the roles that activity and sport can play in helping individuals, businesses and society. SO What Global has worked with companies including GSK, Pfizer, Novartis, and P&G.

The acquisition also brings SO What Global’s RelationSHIFT into the Havas fold, a propriety mapping and development framework that “helps define where clients are in terms of reputation and then creates a tailored pathway that moves them closer to the relationships that matter with key stakeholders,” according to Havas.

"Bringing SO What Global into Havas Health & You is a strong strategic move to expand our healthcare and wellness capabilities. Their entrepreneurial mindset within the Havas Village will work to stimulate even more business growth and drive. I wish the teams a warm welcome to the Havas Family,” said Yannick Bolloré, chief executive of Havas Group, in a statement.

Scott A. Clark and Oliver Parsons, SO What Global’s co-founders and managing partners, will continue to lead the firm. The two will report to Donna Murphy, chief executive of Havas Health & You.
