Branding and design agency SomeOne has launched in Sydney through a partnership with VCCP

The move will see SomeOne work alongside VCCP in Sydney’s Surry Hills to provide clients with a combination of branding and communications services.

It will also provide VCCP with expanded design capabilities while providing SomeOne with access to brands outside of Europe and America.

SomeOne Sydney will be led by founding partners Laura Coulson and Max Longstaff, who have relocated from London.

The agency is already working for local clients after winning “a significant brand project with one of Australia’s leading FMCG businesses”.

Gary Holt, co-founder of SomeOne, said the agency partnership would create “a truly compelling combination of branding and communications expertise".

“Not least through our proven method of developing deeper connections with brand audiences, as we feel this suits the progressive and fast moving approach seen in so many businesses here,” said Holt.

Andrew Holt, chief executive of VCCP Sydney, added: "VCCP is a challenger brand and the launch of SomeOne in Sydney gives us a great opportunity to bring world-class design and branding creativity to bear on our client's business challenges.

"SomeOne have a fantastic track record of inspiring design thinking that builds brands and drives big commercial returns for clients, so they are perfect partners for us. We are excited to be working together."

SomeOne is the latest in a string of agencies to open shop in Australia. It follows launches by 72andSunny, which opened its doors in May, and AKQA, which announced its plans to launch down under in February.
