The agency, which launched in Shanghai in 2011 and has offices in Shenzhen and New York, works with Chinese and international brands such as Aimer, Uni-President, Jawha, Giant, L’Oreal, Lancome, P&G and Dom Perignon.

The Jakarta office will be led by Creative Capital managing partner Agustinus Michel, who previously worked in the Shanghai office.

Creative Capital Jakarta plans to work with a combination of local and international brands to create marketing for the Indonesian market, with a focus on merging retail and digital through consistent storytelling.

Agustinus Michel, managing partner, Creative Capital Jakarta, said: "Merging retail and digital under one consistent storytelling platform is now the priority for retailers in Indonesia. We want to be the guys who bridged these two markets via storytelling.”

The launch comes as the Indonesian market heats up, with a number of companies opening offices in a bid to capitalise on the growing advertising market. Earlier this year programmatic company The Trade Desk launched a Jakarta office, Facebook is also looking to launch a local presence, while ComScore has beefed up its local services to provide more robust measurement for the market.
