Embedded into Facebook Messenger, social media users can talk with the quip-making GoTBot which features the avatar, if not deadly persuasion, of a white walker.

Catch Digital has created a quip-making chatbot to coincide with the return of Game of Thrones to TV screens across the world, finally unveiling the chaos that ensues when ‘Winter has Come’.

The bot launches to the public on Monday, and helps build up the lore behind GoT locations and characters to anyone who feels the wait for these new episodes has been too long.

Utilising Wit.ai frameworks, the bot can learn from users and connect them with stores of GoT information, while also throwing out a joke or Easter Egg or two. The agency said: “The more questions users ask, the more data we can capture and ensure that we update GoTBot so that it can answer these queries.”

Here’s some golden nuggets from the bot. Talk to it here.
