What’s the Story? is a storytelling video series dedicated to learning what truly makes a great story, told through the lens of the world’s talent and practitioners of the craft in entertainment, marketing and beyond.

Oscar winner Lesley Chilcott joined The Drum for a conversation on storytelling, filmed in Los Angeles at Branded Entertainment Network.

In her career, the filmmaker, documentarian and producer has helped bring important stories to the big, small and personal screens over the last decade like Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, plus award-winning documentaries like It Might Get Loud and Code Girls.

For our What’s the Story series, above, she reveals what it takes to find a great character (hint: it’s what’s below the surface), along with the best story she’s ever heard – a parable/urban myth about classroom potential that has multiple meanings.

What's the Story? is sponsored by Branded Entertainment Network (BEN), the first global network for branded product integration in the entertainment industry, across all media, including the influencer space.

Filmed at Branded Entertainment Network HQ in LA
