Gay news platform asks to be tickled pink by best LGBT-inclusive ad campaigns
Set to take place on the 18 October the PinkNews Advertising Campaign of the Year Award will honour those promotions, no matter what size, which have been inclusive or representative of LGBT issues and people
This will form just one act in a much wider awards ceremony which will celebrate the achievements of politicians, business, organizations and community groups toward the common goal of attaining full equality.
A star-studded line-up of speakers and attendees will be announced shortly for an event which has drawn speakers from across the political spectrum; with David Cameron given an ally of the year award at last year’s bash at which Jeremy Corbyn delivered a keynote address.
In a statement PinkNews said: “While some of the awards are decided by a panel of expert judges, our readers will vote on the ad campaign of the year award once a panel shortlists down from those nominated.
“This award is about celebrating the positive portrayal of LGBT people in corporate advertising.”
Over half of young British gay and bisexual men believe that the LGBT+ community is 'invisible' in advertising so to show just what the sector has been doing fire in your nominations before 4 July.
