Starbucks is looking for a creative agency in the EMEA region for the first time. The drinks brand confirmed that it has briefed several agencies with a view to appointing a lead creative agency later this summer.

The process, which is being run through Creativebrief, does not affect Starbucks’ global ad agency 72andSunny.

Ella’s Kitchen, the organic baby food brand, has appointed marketing outfit Bigdog as its content agency, following a competitive four-way pitch.

The brief, covering strategy, creative, distribution and media will see bigdog support the delivery of the brand’s annual content marketing plan, across its social and owned channels.

Direct Line has bolstered its brand and comms efforts with the appointment of two new PR agencies, Mischief and Talker Tailor Trouble Maker (TTTM).

The appointments, which followed a competitive pitch process, will see each agency manage two new consumer brand activation campaigns for Direct Line due to launch later this year

Mischief will lead PR and creative for Direct Line’s new campaign launching in September where as TTTM will be tasked with taking the creative reigns on the evolution of Fleetlights, the campaign it launched last November.

South African Tourism has awarded its PR contract to travel and tourism PR and marketing consultancy The Brighter Group following a competitive tender process.

The agency will deliver a strategic communications campaign targeting key traveller segments to further drive visitor numbers to the destination. The strategy will support South African Tourism’s over-arching global goal of attracting five million additional tourists within the next five years, starting this year.

In addition to implementing a multi-media PR programme for South African Tourism, the agency’s remit will include an increased focus on the UK travel trade and strengthening relationships with key trade partners.

Sennheiser Communications, provider of premium headsets and speakerphones, has appointed WE Communications (WE) to handle its PR activities.

Sennheiser Communications has selected the agency to increase the overall market visibility of its trade division primarily through content development and media relations. WE will also have the opportunity to integrate with wider marketing divisions of Sennheiser Communications, including social media, branding and sales.

The BFI has appointed DDA and Four Colman Getty to provide press and PR services for the 61st BFI London Film Festival. The contracts were appointed after a competitive tender process.

To accommodate the growth of the festival, the BFI divided the contract into two separate briefs for the first time. DDA will manage the PR campaign and red carpet media management for the Festival’s 12 Headline Galas, and will oversee red carpet media management for the BFI’s Luminous fundraising Gala event.

Four Colman Getty’s brief is focused on the PR and publicity campaign for the Festival’s Main Programme of circa 240 feature films including the competitive sections, the LFF Awards and the Events Programme.

JK Helene Curtis has chosen Cheil India as the digital partner for its Park Avenue Premium Perfume and Beer Shampoo brands. The agency will handle the digital marketing duties including social media management across multiple platforms, media buying and digital creatives. The account was awarded to Cheil after a multi-agency pitch.

Slingshot has won the Australian Pork account for media strategy, data strategy, media planning and buying, following a competitive pitch.

Australian Pork is the national representative body for Australian pig producers, which is best known to most Australians for its ‘Get some Pork on your Fork’ campaigns.

SpringCreek, the social media agency within IPG Mediabrands Malaysia has been reappointed the social media agency on retainer for Digi Telecommunications (Digi).

In a recently concluded pitch, the agency won and retained the account against a number of agencies vying for the business including Entropia Global and Ampersand Advisory.

Weight-loss and nutrition specialist Herbalife has appointed Media Agency Group (MAG) to coordinate a series of UK-based advertising campaigns across a range of media formats.

Activity has already commenced with an initial multimedia advertising campaign across the UK and Northern Ireland, encompassing a nationwide digital and traditional media strategy, targeting both existing Herbalife members and prospective new customers.

Travel insurance brand, InsureandGo, has appointed Roast as its digital agency for search marketing and campaign creation.

Yorkshire-headquartered digital agency Ingenuity Digital Holdings Limited (IDHL) has completed a management buyout (MBO) of the business supported by a funding package from HSBC and Frontier Development Capital (FDC), valuing the business at £30 million.
