Publicis Conseil, which belongs to the Publicis Worldwide network, has appointed Luc Wise as chief transformation and strategy officer (CTSO).

Wise will be tasked with accelerating the business transformation for Publicis’s clients, both locally and globally, and is part of an new strategy within the Publicis Group. Following the merger with Nurun - Publicis Counseil is repositioning itself as a total brand experience agency.

The new appointment illustrates Publicis’s goal to attract industry talent capable of advising companies on all aspects of their branded customer experience as well as working between the different entities of the Group, both in France and internationally.

“Luc is one of the industry’s very best strategic talents. His multicultural and multi-disciplinary skills will help to accelerate our client’s business transformation,” explains Valerie Hanaff, CEO of Publicis Conseil and global president of Publicis Worldwide.

Luc has dual Franco-British nationality and although he started his career in advertising at Publicis Conseil in 2000, he then joined V agency (Omnicom) as head of strategy and managing director before co-founding Herezie - one of France’s biggest independent agencies in 2010. He departed Herezie in 2016 and continued to advise major local and international brands. He has been on the judging panels of many international award ceremonies including the Effie awards, the Euro-Effies and the Cannes Creative Effectiveness Lions.

“Publicis started its own transformation over a decade ago with a visionary series of acquisitions in the digital and consultancy world (including Sapient, Razorfish, Digital, Nurun)," Wise said. "Today, the company is in a strong position to blend tech, strategy and creativity for a broad range of brands."

Last week, Publicis Groupe's new chief executive, Arthur Sadoun outlined his vision for the future of the business.
