LA creative and marketing community feted at ThinkLA awards

At their seventh IDEA Awards gala, ThinkLA, the Los Angeles area’s largest connector of creativity in media, marketing and advertising, handed out awards to 14 agencies, brands and individuals in 17 categories that included some major names in the business.

72andSunny was named agency of the year while Madison + Vine was tipped as boutique agency of the year. MullenLowe LA walked away with the best video campaign award for Knorr, CP+B LA took home the ThinkLA innovator prize for NBA 2K Boost, Deutsch LA won for their live music video stunt for Target in the branded content/storytelling category and RPA landed a win in the cause marketing category for their Honda “Candy Cane Lane” program.

Media agencies were well-represented as well with Zenith being recognized for their well-received, sprawling Deadpool work, winning in the best social campaign and campaign of the year categories. Carat and UberMedia posted a win in the best mobile campaign for their Adidas PureBoostX work.

Tipping the hat for technology, Omaze was named Silicon Beach startup of the year.

Additionally, four individuals, Paul Santello of Horizon Media (hall of fame award), Mike Linton, CMO of Farmers Insurance (client of the year), Garron Markey of AdColony (salesperson of the year) and Jackie Stasi of Initiative (agency person of the year) were honored at the gala, attended by over 1,000 LA-area professionals and supported by Grindr.

"It was a magical evening that makes all of us proud to be part of this wonderful, creative community,” said Susan Franceschini, executive director of ThinkLA. “We are so grateful to our sponsors and partners for helping to make this our best awards show yet."
