Manchester United and Manchester City unite in show of solidarity

#ACityUnited saw Manchester City send a heartfelt tribute to arch-rivals Manchester United as a mark of respect for the city they share as supporters at home and abroad rallied behind each other in the wake of the tragedy.

Fans from across the divide took to Twitter to salute the show of unity with one declaring that the real result was Manchester 1 : Terrorists 0 as the arrack had only served to bring people together.

Other Manchester United fans expressed the wish that they could somehow exchange their trophy for the lives which have been lost.

A coming together of reds and blues in the city comes in the wake of one of the blackest nights in Manchester’s history, which left 22 people dead (including children) and injured 64.
