This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Vogue

In a surprise move, British Vogue has hired an external candidate as its editor - magazine fashion director Edward Enninful - following the departure of its longest-serving editor Alexandra Shulman in January this year.

Enninful, who will take up the role on 1 August, will become British Vogue's first black editor, and first male editor, in its over 100-year history.

He joins from American magazine W, where he has served as creative and fashion director since 2011.

Snapchat

Snapchat has hired Marianne Bullwinkel as country manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH), announcing that it plans to open an office in Germany.

She joins from the same role at Facebook, where she has worked since 2015.

Daily Mail

Dentsu Aegis Network’s chief trading officer Dominic Williams is departing the advertising group after 20 years to take up the role of chief investment officer at the Daily Mail’s advertising division.

Williams will head up the investment team at Mail Advertising, the commercial division of MailOnline, the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.

Poke

Digital agency Poke has promoted its current head of client services, Tom Bayliss, to the role of managing director.

The move comes amid a shakedown which will see Christina Marks, a business leader on some of the agency’s key accounts, take on the position of head of client services and Colin Byrne join from VCCP.

Hoot Comedy

Tom Bazeley, former chief executive of M&C Saatchi, is rejoining the world of production and IP to become chief executive of Hoot Comedy, a comedy production company he helped set up five years ago,

He will arrive back at Hoot Comedy this month.

RPM

Rom has announced two new additions to its senior team with Ruth Henderson joining as senior strategist and Laurel Davis joining as head of creative communications.

Eulogy

Jack McCormick has joined the business services division of Eulogy from Propeller Group.

His new role will see him work alongside Phil Borge, business services director and senior account director, Richard Ware, to support and develop the agency's portfolio.

Power Digital Marketing

Power Digital Marketing has appointed Julie Zubak as vice-president of funnel and email marketing.

With over 10 years experience, Zubak joins from Brandetize where he was vice president of marketing.

Johnston Press

Frank O'Donnell has been appointed as editorial director of the Scotsman.

Having previously held the role of director of digital content for Johnston Press, O'Donnell will now also take charge of the Edinburgh Evening News and Scotland on Sunday.

Possible

Lizzie Snell has been appointed to the new role of head of client services at Possible.

Previously a business director working with Specsavers, Canon and Grant Thornton for over three years, Snell will oversee a team of 15 people in her new role while reporting directly to chief executive Neil Miller.

APAC people on the move

Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett Greater China has appointed industry heavyweight Carol Lam as president and chief creative officer.

Lam, who is currently DDB Hong Kong’s chief creative officer and managing director, will join Leo Burnett is mid-May.

Ugly

Ugly, an ideas agency, has launched in Sydney with insurance giant IAG’s challenger brand Satellite as its first client.

Founded by ex-Anomaly Amsterdam chief executive and founding partner Hazelle Klønhammer, ex-TBWA Sydney executive creative director Gary McCreadie and ex-M&C Saatchi Sydney head of strategy Ross Berthinussen, Ugly aims to bring a collaborative and “human” approach to the industry.

The agency has been backed by M&C Saatchi but will operate independently of the group.

Colenso BBDO

Colenso BBDO has announced two senior creative hires, appointing Levi Slavin as chief creative officer and Dan Wright as executive creative director.

The two men join from BBDO New York where Slavin was executive vice-president, group creative director and Wright was senior creative director.

Saatchi & Saatchi

Sesh Moodley has returned to Sydney in the new role of deputy executive creative director, at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Having spent five years in the US, Moodley has a raft of experience that has seen him work at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Victors & Spoils Boulder and AKQA.

USA People on the move

Duncan Channon

Duncan Channon today announced the hire of MJ Deery as director of the agency’s new social purpose practice.

Deery will serve as one of Duncan Channon’s key creative and strategic leaders in this new role, with a focus on social strategy and development for clients.

Hush

Brooklyn-based agency Hush has bolstered its management team, naming Kristen Koeller executive producer, as the experience design agency seeks to embark upon "more extensive, ambitious" projects.

Koeller comes to Hush from B-Reel, where she led teams producing efforts including the globe-spanning, UGC-focused MTV Bump, and will now not only oversee the production department, but she will also manage the creative talent, work with clients and collaborate with the new business team.

Havas Group

Havas Group has appointed Peter Mears as the new chief operating officer for Havas’ network of media agencies.

In this newly created role, Mears will oversee operations and strategy of all Havas media units, plus, he will support regional and local leadership for agency management, new business and local client strategy.

Pandora

Pandorahas promoted Susan Panico to its senior leadership team as senior vice president of strategic solutions. She will report directly to Pandora’s chief revenue officer John Trimble.

Panico was previously vice-president of B2B marketing for the company, where she oversaw the marketing strategy for Pandora advertising business.

Fatherly

Fatherly has appointed Evelyn Weisskohl as head of west coast sales. Joining from HelloGiggles, Weisskohl will be based in Los Angeles.

Allen & Gerritsen

Mark Garman has been hired as the vice-president, creative director of Allen & Gerristen in the Philadelphia office.

Having most recently worked as creative director at Red Tettemer with clients including Planet Fitness, Under Armour and more, Garman has said he 'had to jump on it' when he saw the job.
