Uber loses yet another senior executive
Uber has lost another senior executive: the resignation of Rachel Whetstone, who led policy and communications for Uber, according to a Bloomberg report.

This departure is yet another loss of a senior executive for the ride hailing start-up during tumultuous times for the brand's reputation, including sexual harassment woes among others.
Whetstone was poached from Google by Uber in 2015, and supervised Uber’s lobbying efforts, as well as its strategies for its battle with governments around the world.
“I am incredibly proud of the team that we’ve built,” Whetstone said in a statement. “I joined Uber because I love the product—and that love is as strong today as it was when I booked my very first ride six years ago.”
Jill Hazelbaker, who was brought on by and worked with Whetstone at Google will take over Whetstone’s role.
“Since joining in 2015, Rachel has blown us all away with her ability to get stuff done,” Kalanick said in a statement. “She is a force of nature, an extraordinary talent and an amazing player-coach who has built a first-class organization.”
