Going through together with Finn Partners' sister agency True Worth Consultants, the acquisition marks an important step into the Asia Pacific region for the company where it will focus on marketing and communication support in the tech sector there.

Ying Communications has worked with clients such as Airbus, Cisco Systems, HP Enterprise, Microsoft and Pure Storage. The two founders, Allan Tan and Yin Ching Yeap, will serve as managing partners and report to Howard Solomon, one of Finn Partners' founding managing partners.

Solomon also leads the firm's West Coast operations, with offices in San Francisco, LA and Portland.

Peter Finn, founding partner of Finn Partners, said: "This is a very important first step for us into Asia Pacific and it makes perfect sense for this move to be focused on the tech sector. Tech is our largest practice area and we are seeing great demand for marketing and communication support in Asia Pacific from our tech clients.

"Our plan is for our new Singapore office to serve as the hub and headquarters of our Asia Pacific operations."

Ying Communications launched 16 years ago by Tan and Yeap, who used to work in IBM, Shell and Singapore Airlines. Today, the agency has a full-time staff of 35 B2B experts.

Tan added: "For 16 years now, we've worked at becoming the best B2B communications agency in Asia. Joining Finn Partners will help take us to the next level because they're already doing this on a global scale across more industries. We are thrilled to be working with Peter and his team to become Finn Partners' strategic hub for Asia and extend our offerings into the rest of the region."

SI Partners, global M&A advisor to creative and technology businesses, advised Ying Communications on the deal, identifying the optimum strategic growth partner and negotiating the transaction.
