Initially launched in 2003 The Big Won evolved to cover direct marketing, advertising, promotional and above the line work as well as digital.

The Big Won covers global awards and rotates through a selection of regional and national shows.

In recent years, BBDO has regularly been named as the most creative advertising agency as a result of its consistent awards haul while WPP was found to be the most awarded network. Ogilvy's Tham Khai Meng was the most awarded chief creative officer of 2016 as well according to the most recent figures released in January.

Founder of The Big Won, Patrick Collister, commented: "I started The Big Won with the aim of creating an international creative ranking that covered a wide range of creative marketing disciplines. In looking for a new home where TBW could be taken to the next level, I felt that The Drum would be a perfect match with its interest in creativity across the board, and its increasing global coverage.

Diane Young, co-founder of The Drum, added that the integration of The Big Won Rankings will add to The Drum’s business intelligence products such as Recommended Agency Register and complement the Creative Works offering that each week highlights some of the best work produced in Europe, America and Asia.

“We will be working closely with Patrick to bring the results of The Big Won to a much wider audience.”
