This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA

Happen Group

Happen Group has appointed former Havas Global chief operating officer Chris Pinnington as non-executive director.

In his new role, Pinnington will support the companys global network and work to build the growth of Happen's digital innovation, StarMaker.

Conscious Communications

Conscious Communications has appointed Paul Flower as creative director.

Previously Flower co-owned a creative agency and worked with client including Haven Holidays, Scottish Power and Alfred Dunhill.

Quiet Storm

Quiet Storm has appointed Daniel Healy as production director, a role that also sees him join the board.

Healy will work closely with the creative team while overseeing all tv, print and online production requirements. He will work with clients including Haribo, Trinity Mirror and NBCUniversal.

R/GA

R/GA London has appointed Jon Andrews and Mark Fairbanks as group creative directors.

The duo will bring contrasting skill with Andrews leading the Hyundai account while Fairbankswill take the Unilever account.

Perform

Perform has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of Ed Smith as head of partnerships and the promotion of Dave Winstone as head of programmatic.

Joining from the Telegraph media Group, Smith will lead the partnerships team who provide editorial solutions including goal.com, ePlayer and Opta.

8 Outdoor

8 Outdoor has bolstered its senior team with Alan Brydon joining as chairman, Kanjeev Sikka as strategic business director, Tania Doorn as head of direct sales and Rob Smith as development director.

Borkowski Ltd

UK children's brand, the Beano, has appointed Borkowski Ltd to handle corporate comms to accompany the creative proposition the brand put forward in September 2016.

The new multi-platform Beano Studios now includes films, TV programmes, a digital network, live theatrical experiences, consumer products in addition to the long-lasting comic.

ASIA

Coconut Media

Coconuts Media has revamped its website and scored a new editor-in-chief in its pivot from separate city websites to a global publisher.

The new website, Coconuts.co now features top stories across Asia, replacing the corporate landing page. The new editor-in-chief, Chad Williams, the former editor-in-chief of the Phnom Penh Post, will be taking up the post on 3 April. He will be based out of the Hong Kong office, leading editorial strategy, staff and news decision-making.

NORTH AMERICA

Gradient

Gradient, an experiential marketing agency for luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands, announced the appointment of Pauline Oudin to the role of managing director and partner.

In the role, Oudin will be responsible for leading the fast growth of the agency and strengthening its strategic planning, content creation and distribution offerings, as well as its strategic partnerships and integrations that respond to a growing demand for premium brands to tell more impactful stories through unique experiences that trigger emotion and brand attachment.

Sid Lee

Sid Lee is building out its Los Angeles creative team with the appointments of Daniel Soderstedt and Jonny Leicht.

The duo will work on the agency's The North Face account among many other projects and their hire marks a significant expansion for the firm's creative offering in LA.

Soderstedt is to take on the role of design director, having recently moved from New York for the post. He has over 12 years' experience in the industry and started his career at Stockholm Design Lab. More recently he was design director at Mother Design where he created a new visual identity for CB2 and global design concepts for Reebok Classic.

Vidyard

Vidyard, a video platform for business out of Ontario, Canada, has named Shannon Stubo to its board of directors. Stubo is LinkedIn’s chief marketing officer and senior vice president of corporate communications.

In her new role, she will help guide Vidyard’s rapid growth as the company drives the digital transformation of organizations, including marketing and sales teams, communicating through the use of online video.

Over the last twenty years, Stubo has worked at some of the leading technology companies: Intuit, Yahoo!, eBay, OpenTable, and LinkedIn, where she helped to build new markets and develop category leadership on a global scale.

Carmichael Lynch

Minneapolis agency Carmichael Lynch has promoted Marcus Fischer to chief executive.

Marcus Fischer has been promoted to chief executive of Carmichael Lynch

Fischer is the fourth person to serve as the 55-year-old agency’s chief executive. He replaces Mike Lescarbeau, who will now step into the role of executive chairman.

Previously, Fischer served as president of Carmichael Lynch. He rejoined the agency four years ago after serving as chief executive of fellow Minneapolis agency Space150.

The Escape Pod

The Escape Pod has promoted Leah Hattendorf to senior vice president, director of strategy.

In her new role, Hattendorf will lead the companys research and strategy group while also working on new business efforts.
