Tourism Toronto has unveiled a new ad billing the city as "Canada's downtown" and showcasing its multiculturalism.

Titled 'The Views Are Different Here,' the hero video of the campaign speaks to both the physical views and the open-minded values that define Toronto.

From native Drake to ballet dancers, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to LGBT celebrations, the ad showcases a variety of attractions and reasons why people should visit.

Andrew Weir, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer at Tourism Toronto said: “Toronto is a truly unique city filled with spectacular views of architecture, neighbourhoods, culture and the lake, and also a place where you’ll find a unique way of looking at the world."

“Marketing a destination has to be more than listing the things to do. This campaign creates excitement and finds that special territory that Toronto alone can occupy,” he added.

The spot was created in partnership with J. Walter Thompson and is skewed toward international travelers, but will launch first in the American market. The soundtrack is original track sampling of 'I Put a Spell on You' composed by Toronto’s artist Mike Wise and produced by Apollo Studios also in the city.
