Playmobil has chosen Cogent to lead PR work on the company’s fast-growing line of Lechuza gardening planter products, following a four-way pitch.

Cogent will work in tandem with Playmobil’s own in-house team to spearhead the introduction of new products and promotion of existing ranges to nurture and extend current growth rates.

Jamie Dickinson, UK marketing manager at Playmobil and Lechuza commented: “Cogent showed it had the best understanding of our brand and the direction we need to take it forward and grow within the UK.”

An early priority for Cogent will be the development of a global PR push to promote Playmobil’s new Ghostbusters range, building on the toy manufacturer’s partnership with DreamWorks Animation to develop a set of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ play-sets.

Gogent’s existing client roster includes the likes of BMW, Arriva and Thorntons.
