The announcement follows a competitive pitch during which the online marketplace sought out one agency to support across creative portfolios in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The business said the appointment comes at a "key moment" in its global brand strategy.

Deliveroo appointed Fallon London as its creative agency and MediaCom as its media agency. The appointments were made by the food delivery brand's creative director Leila D'Angelo, and did not replace any incumbent agencies.

Vera Wang named Four32C as its digital agency of record, having worked with the luxury fashion brand for over six years. Four32C has previously rebuilt the brand’s global website, and launched the Vera Wang on Weddings iOS app. The digital design agency will continue to collaborate with the brand to drive global engagement, design and build products for the mobile space, and improve internal processes.

Electronics giant Huawei has appointed PHD to manage its media account in China, following a four-way pitch. PHD’s Beijing office will be responsible for media strategy and buying for all traditional media channels.

SME London in partnership with BBC Worldwide have hired creative communications agency Taylor Herring to launch a brand-new live event called Strictly Come Dancing: The Spectacular.

Taylor Herring will handle ongoing press office and creative activations to publicise the event, a 90-minute theatre show which will take place at The Excel Centre, from 22 - 25 June. Taylor Herring will also be generating a news programme, talent interviews and influencer activations in the run up to the event, with the prospect of creating stunts and branded content to further publicise the event.

AccorHotel’s economy hotel chain, Ibis, has appointed Splendid Communications to manage its press office and social channels, following a competitive pitch process. The team will be helping to generate brand awareness through creative campaigns bringing to life the brand’s positioning as an economy hotel that focuses on differentiation in the customer experience, simplicity, modernity and wellbeing.

Digital out-of-home media owner, 8 Outdoor, has appointed Finn to deliver a communications campaign that builds rapid awareness with advertisers and agency partners. The campaign will harness the many developments planned this year by 8 Outdoor and deliver communications activity across national, regional, trade and social media channels.

Currency exchange provider, CurrencyFair, has appointed Epiphany to manage its display advertising and PPC activity to reach and engage with new customers. Before Epiphany, CurrencyFair did PPC and Display in-house. CurrencyFair said they made the decision to appoint an agency for “extra expertise”, and Epiphany appealed as they have a broader skill set across digital marketing.

Chinese sportswear brand Xtep has appointed Y&R Beijing as the brand seeks to win market share in China's competitive sports industry. Xtep, which is China’s third-largest sportswear brand, has tasked Y&R with strategy and creative development for Xtep’s brand and products until 2019. Y&R Beijing replaces incumbent of five years DDB Guoan Beijing as Xtep’s agency of record.
