New Zealand born singer-songwriter Lorde has taken a back seat for a teaser trailer hinting at the looming release of some new music on 2 March, by enigmatically snacking and supping a milkshake.

Lorde flagged up the short clip to her fans via a website, with an accompanying Facebook post reading simply ‘u hungry?’ while also taking time out to share a publicity photo for the presumed material.

Commenting about the work in a lenghty Facebook missive Lorde revealed: “I want nothing more than to spill my guts RIGHT NOW about the whole thing – I want you to see the album cover, pore over the lyrics (the best I’ve written in my life), touch the merch, experience the live show. I can hardly stop myself from typing out the name. I just need to keep working a while longer to make it as good as it can be. You’ll have to hold on. The big day is not tomorrow, or even next month realistically, but soon. I know you understand.”

Lorde has become a rising star in the music world since releasing her debut album, ‘Pure Heroine’, back in 2013. More recently the singer paid tribute to the late David Bowie at the 2016 Brit Awards and has recorded background music for the ‘Hunger Games’.
