Samsung took to last night’s Academy Awards with no less than three new commercials in an attempt to distance itself from last year’s exploding Galaxy Note 7 debacle.

Reaching out to wary consumers Samsung promised that it had dropped the ball on safety only once and that quality control would be its number one priority for the next installment in the line.

The first ad put it bluntly that ‘quality is our priority’ while the second delves into Samsung’s stringent 8-point battery safety check. To ram home the point the final commercial in the series depicts YouTube stars as creators of the future.

Samsung is an Oscar’s regular having recruited William H. Macy last year to promote its Gear VR headset and Ellen DeGeneres in 2015 when the star took a sponsored selfie.
