Nike's golfers wear all-black at Genesis Open in show of support for 'Equality' campaign
Nike’s golfers issued a statement of support for the brand’s ‘Equality’ campaign when they showed up to the Genesis Open wearing head-to-toe black.

All 16 of the brand’s sponsored athletes competing at the Riviera Country Club, including Jason Day Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka, wore all black apparel in a clear gesture of support for the Equality campaign which launched earlier this month.

Tiger Woods, who is not playing because of recurring back trouble, told Golf Digest: “Nike, and the equality campaign, stresses that everyone should have the same opportunity whether in life or athletics.”

He added: “Sport has the unique ability to promote diversity and inclusion.”

The campaign debuted with a 90-second ad during the Grammy's which featured LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Serena Williams, Michael B. Jordan and Alicia Keys. It is championing the brand’s efforts to encourage people to apply the fairness and respect that exists in sports and to greater society.
