Meriden based Cogent has been awarded the sole contract to deliver film and video services to BMW UK, propelling the creative agencies ‘mandate for growth’ forward.

The appointment will see Cogent tasked with producing film for all vehicle launches and corporate communications to engage retailers and consumer with David Jones, Cogent’s head of client services, fronting the account with a team of film makers, producers, project managers, editors and videographers.

The win is a significant coup for the agency's group chief executive, Bruce Hutton, who was installed in October 2016 and will see the business.

Hutton remarked: “We’re delighted to be partnering with BMW, marking an exciting return to Cogent’s automotive heartland. We’re looking forward to working closely with the BMW team in the spirit of togetherness, and will be living and breathing the brand through the content we produce.”

Cogent’s current client base includes the likes of AEG, Arriva, Bensons for Beds, British Cycling, Jeyes, Kwik Fit, Marstons, Network Q, Thorntons, VW Commercial, WD-40 and Yorkshire Water.
