Spotify's UK marketing director Karen Staughton departs after 6 months
The head of consumer marketing at Spotify UK, Karen Staughton is set to depart the business later this month, The Drum understands.

Staughton joined the business just six months ago from Cornerstone Agency where she held the position of digital and communications director. Prior to that she was head of digital marketing at Columbia Records and was also digital manager at V2 records.
It is understood she has left the business to take up a job overseas.
Staughton had been a key player in its push to drive awareness of it as a brand that does more than just music streaming. She orchestrated the roll out of its first brand campaign in the UK last year, which was praised for the way it harnessed user data to inform the creative for the out of home, digital and social adverts.
Her departure comes as the streaming site faces increasing pressure to deliver returns from its 100 million monthly active users and over 40 million paying subscribers.
A Spotify spokesperson told The Drum: "We are very sorry to lose Karen, who has made a huge impact on Spotify's marketing in the UK since she arrived. We wish her and her family all the very best as they embark on their new adventure in the US."
Spotify is currently looking for Staughton's replacement.
