Pepsi Max is toasting the dedication of footballing ‘superfans’ with a series of videos dedicated to global followers of football who choose to live life for the moment.

#PepsiMaxMoment will run throughout 2017, the second year of PepsiCo’s global Champions League partnership, by enlisting the services of three renowned athletes to stoke excitement inh the tournament ahead of the final scheduled for 3 June in Cardiff, Wales.

Sergio Agüero, Alexis Sánchez and Vincent Kompany will lead the charge in a series of films which focus on the individual moments during a match which make football so special; from the pre-match build-up to the on pitch action and post-match analysis when the final whistle is just a distant echo.

PepsiCo president Brad Jakeman said: “Throughout the year, Pepsi will celebrate a variety of moments – from the everyday good moments made great, to the truly epic like the UEFA Champions League Final. Pepsi is one of the most iconic supporters and longstanding fans of the world’s beautiful game, and this year we’re taking our global football campaign from the pitch to the stands – celebrating and igniting the contagious passion that comes to life in the fans around us, showing the world how much it means to live and love the game.”

The campaign will run across 75 territories beginning with broadcast of We Know How Much it Means’ on 8 April ahead of the quarter finals, dovetailing with a home and in-store promotional push. A ticket giveaway for the final will also be conducted to ramp up excitement.

Pepsi Max issued a star-studded football campaign last year as part of an emoji marketing push.
