Seven League taps former Twitter UK media partnerships lead Lewis Wiltshire
Wiltshire left Twitter at the end of December after almost five years building the social network's business outwith the US. He was the platform's first UK head of sport and inaugural global sports chair.
Seven League has confirmed that he will be a consulting partner in the business, joining in mid-February.
The agency, which was founded by chief executive Richard Ayers in 2012, specialises in sport and helps organisations like FC Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, Uefa and the NBA understand digital opportunities and risks, strategy, and capabilities.
Ayers said Wiltshire's "creative skills, his broad experience of international media and technology" coupled with his knowledge of sports and sports business would bolster Seven League's capabilities in these areas. "He has a great reputation and is fantastic to work with, so the team are excited to get him on board," he added.
Wiltshire began his career in newspapers as a sports reporter, moving to BBC Sport in 2001 and later becoming editor of the BBC Sport website. He was also BBC Sport’s first social media editor, and the lead editor planning its London 2012 coverage across digital platforms, before joining Twitter in 2012.
