The Guardian has revealed its first ever branded Snapchat geofilter as it looks to be the publication of choice for London protestors this weekend.

The campaign is urging protestors to share the "unfiltered truth" using the Snapchat's Guardian filter, serving as a functional way of generating impressions among photosharers at the event.

Across the world, cities have witnessed mass congregations of protestors angered by president Donald Trump's ban of travellers from seven Middle Eastern countries, widely reported as the Muslim ban, which the administation distances itself from.

Additionally, in the US especially, some of the nation's biggest companies, including many startup and tech groups, have made life difficult for the president, with legal threats and condemnations.

Tying into the negative global sentiment towards the ban, The Guardian looks to position itself on the group, gaining a footprint on Snapchat images as a digital placard.

Snapchat users will be able to use and share the filter at the protest's starting point in London's Grosvenor Square on Saturday 4 February from 10am until 5pm.
