There have been endless questions around the feasibility and cost of President Donald Trump’s proposed Mexico border wall, but satire news site The Postillon has come up with a solution, import a self-assembly wall from Ikea.

The publication has posted the instructions for the Börder Wåll, a “practical, ready-made solution” to Potus’ seemingly incomprehensibly ambitious and expensive solution to illegal immigration.

The creative prices the Ikea wall at $9,999,999,999.99, coming in significantly less than the current $15bn to $25bn valuation the actual wall sits at.

“The simple, Scandinavian designed border wall (with a 5-year guarantee) is primarily made of pressboard with a birch effect and can be assembled with the help of a hex key.

“A 12,000 page instruction manual with easy-to-understand pictures makes construction child’s play – as long as there is not a single screw missing.”

The instruction booklet makes light of the wall, which was a cornerstone of Trump’s candidacy.

Although the Mexican government has said unequivocally that it will not be paying for the installation, a recent executive order from the administration, a 20% tax on Mexican imports could raise some windfall, although Fortune reports it’s just as likely to hurt consumers too.
