D&AD has taken a different approach for its 2017 awards campaign film and interviewed the mums of top agency names to find out what it means to those who win.

Created by Lucky Generals the film shows the mums of Lisa Smith, head of design, Wolff Olins NY; Joanna Monteiro, chief creative officer, FCB Brasil; Rebecca Williams, design director, Turner Duckworth and more divulge fun anecdotes about their children growing up.

Danny Brooke-Taylor, co-founder of Lucky Generals talked about the inspiration behind the campaign:" Your mum. No-one's prouder of you than her. And imagine how proud she'd be if you won a Pencil."

The deadline for completing entries for the D&AD Professional Awards is 15 February 2017. Work entered must have been commercially released between 01 January 2016 and 18 March 2017 and produced in genuine response to a client brief. It must not have been entered in previous years.

All awarded work is announced during the D&AD Festival 2017 taking place from 25 to 27 April, and will also appear in the D&AD Annual released annually in the autumn.
