Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Facebook profile might not be as personal as it seems following reports that posts made by the social media founder to his 84 million followers may in fact be scripted by a small army of courtiers.

A Facebook outsider claims that many of the seemingly off-the-cuff remarks, responses to questions and windows to his private life are in fact ‘churned out by full time staff’, keen to paint the billionaire in the best light possible.

Zuckerberg is apparently an enthusiastic member of the community he founded posting photos of himself meeting celebrities and politicians as well as more intimate snaps with his wife Priscilla Chan and daughter Max.

Reports in Bloomberg allege that a ‘handful’ of full-time staff are tasked with drafting posts and speeches whilst a dozen are dedicated to deleting troll posts and spam in an effort to burnish their employers public image.

Zuckerberg (or an anonymous aide) uses the feed to eulogise about the social network’s successes; including the delivery of a new data centre in Fort Worth, Texas.

Such efforts haven’t been sufficient to prevent a number of gaffes however; including an unexplained glitch which saw Facebook mistakenly state that Zuckerberg was deceased. Despite being at the forefront of social media adoption Zuckerberg has also found himself on the receiving end of numerous account hacks -apparently after using the same password for multiple accounts.
