Sky Sports has expanded its coverage of women's sport after agreeing a new deal with Rugby Football Union (RFU) to show all of England's Six Nations matches.

Sky will show all of England's matches with two airing on Sky Sports Mix

The partnership marks the first time that every England women's game will be broadcast in the series and builds on Sky Sports' recent moves to expand its coverage of women's sport through partnerships with England Netball, the LPGA tour and the Women’s Cricket World Cup.

The broadcaster will show all five of the Red Roses’ matches in the Six Nations tournament, with two of the games being broadcast on Sky's free sports channel Sky Sports Mix.

"This deal will give our viewers more action from the Women’s Six Nations than ever before, which adds to a thrilling year of women’s rugby on Sky Sports," said Gus Williamson, head of rugby for Sky Sports.

Williamson said the women's rugby coverage was "part of an unrivalled schedule of women’s sport on Sky Sports" following a number of recent broadcast deals.

He added: "Sky will also be the home of the Women’s Cricket World Cup this summer and live women’s golf from the LPGA tour with all five majors for the first time including the British Open in July. Customers can also catch up with rugby news and full analysis of women’s sport each week on the UKs only dedicated women’s sports show, Sportswomen. "

Ian Ritchie, RFU chief executive, said the deal "reflects what an exciting time it is for women’s rugby and the ongoing growth of the game".

Sky's commitment to increasing its coverage women's sports follows on chief executive Jeremy Darroch's assertions that the broadcaster would become more selective about which sports broadcast rights it buys.
