Ogilvy & Mather Singapore hires highly-awarded Francis Wee as executive creative director
Ogilvy & Mather’s (O&M) Singapore office has added Francis Wee to its creative talent, placing him as executive creative director after he’d been working at the agency on a project basis.

Reporting into Eugene Cheong, chief creative officer at O&M Singapore and Asia Pacific, he will also take on responsibility as group head of art at the agency.
Cheong commented that Wee’s history of award winning work was a bonus for the agency: “What sets Francis apart from other creatives is a passion that borders at times on the nuclear. And he is still the one and only recipient of the impossible-to-win, about-it, uber-prestigious D&AD Black Pencil. And it's a win that is neither lucky nor freaky; Francis has a track record of doing astonishing work. The guy is a veritable machine! We are truly lucky to have such an enormous talent as a colleague. Apart from his ECD role, we will tap on him to be the group head of art, as I firmly believe that an idea ain't great if it doesn't look great.”
Prior to O&M Singapore, Wee worked out of the agency’s Shanghai office. He has also held roles at McCann Erickson Singapore and Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore.
Ogilvy Singapore recently agreed a three-year partnership with government department the Economic Development Board (EDB) to train staff on digital and create a Moden Marketing Lab.
