Energy BBDO, Pearle Vision create compelling story in new campaign

Energy BBDO has taken an emotional approach to eyeglasses in a spot for Pearle Vision in a larger campaign called “Small Moments.” The campaign is around understanding what is important to the customer so that Pearle Vision can meet their eye care needs.

The spot released in February titled “Ben’s Glasses” tugs at the heart strings as young Ben puts on an obviously large pair of glasses and struggles. Throughout the spot, Ben has trouble with his specs. They fall off at karate, he can’t zip up his sweatshirt, he can’t find the door on the school bus so his parents take him to Pearle Vision.

With a caring optometrist and some new lenses, Ben is all set and the iconic Pearle Vision tagline "Nobody cares for eyes more than Pearle" comes through. Through the campaign, Pearle Vision is working to showcase the patient and doctor bond that the brand is built on.

In addition to the campaign spots, the brand has created a giveaway that if you comment with a story of someone who’s done something small that has impacted your life for the better, you have a chance to win a customized care package.

The relationship between Energy BBDO and Pearle Vision got its start in 2013. Following a review, Pearle Vision left Arnold Worldwide to make a “significant” brand push in the marketplace.
