Twitter's head of mobile EMEA Ross Sheil departs
Announcing the news on both LinkedIn and Twitter, Sheil said he was moving on to "a new challenge in the mobile technology world," but did not reveal details.
Sheil worked at Twitter for four-and-half years as one of the first hires in EMEA for the platform. He started in business development before moving on to several roles in Twitter's mobile team including senior mobile specialist and mobile lead. He is currently a member of the IAB Mobile Council.
The Drum has reached out to Twitter for more information on how it intends to replace Sheil.
The move from the executive comes amid a series of high-profile Twitter departures. Earlier this month the social network's head of China Kathy Chen who left the firm after just seven months, while in December senior director of media partnerships for Twitter UK, Lewis Wiltshire, announced he was leaving.
