This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Livity

Livity has appointed Stephen Woodford as chairman.

Woodford has taken the non-executive role with the ambition to continue working as chief executive of the Advertising Association.

Deep Focus

Duncan Miller has been appointed as business development director.

In his new role, Miller will be expected to lead the new business that 2017 brings.

Yext

Yext has appointed Andy Champion as vice president of Northern Europe.

With over 15 years experience in the industry having previously served as Oracle Marketing Cloud’s head of sales for EMEA.

Circle Research

Circle Research has appointed Marek Lipinski as client manager of Blue Rubicon.

When discussing his new role, co-founder of Circle Research, Andrew Dalglish, said: “Marek’s background in corporate communications and his international profile make him a perfect fit with the team.”

BPI and Brits Awards

Giuseppe De Cristofane has been promoted from head of digital to director of digital following two and a half years with the company.

Also joining the organisaion is Darren Kruse as digital communications and content manager.

North America people on the move

Quantcast

Quantcast has announced that is has hired Brian Murphy as vice president of sales and head of east and central regions to be based in New York.

Previously, Murphy was vice president of sales and business development with Unified.

Mike Degennaro will also join the New York offices as regional sales director from Netmining.

Workhouse Creative

Workhouse Creative has bolstered its board of directors with the appointment of Cali Bondad for US commerical representation.

Previously Bondad was director and editor at Sister working on a wide variety of content. In his new role, he will work to direct and edit the production of the company.

BBH LA

BBH LA has appointed Lesley Danger Bea as associate creative director.

In her new role, Bea will work across all accounts while also building lead projects.

AKQA

AKQA, a digital agency that has work with companies from Audi to Levi's amongst its roster of clients, has appointed Gavin McLeod as the executive creative director of AKQA’s San Francisco office.

McLeod, who has over 20 years in creative roles, joins the AKQA team from Sydney where he has been recognized for his work with industry awards such as the Cannes Lions, Clios and Ad Age’s D&AD.

APAC people on the move

Ikon Sydney

Ikon Sydney Group has hired Maria Casas as the agency’s new head of content. She joins the agency from Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney, where she was head of social media.

Initiative Thailand

Malee Kittipongpisal has been appointed the new CEO of Initiative Thailand.

She joins from GoupM, where she was managing director of Mindshare.

She joins as part of IPG Mediabrands team of newly promoted IPG Mediabrands Thailand Group CEO Tharaputh Charuvatana and Chairman Wannee Ruttanaphon.
