Chandler was previously global mobile director at Mindshare where he worked with Snapchat's UK general manager, Claire Valoti. The company has confirmed to The Drum that he will now take up his new position within Snap's sales and partnership team in London, joining as a senior account executive.
During his time at Mindshare Chandler (pictured below) forged himself a reputation as one of the leading personalities in the mobile advertising discipline and was named in the top 10 of The Drum's Most Influential personalities in the space last year.
Meanwhile, Jones has joined as an account manager having previously been social advertising director at Manning Gottlieb OMD.
Valotti herself was hired by the company from Facebook in January as one of Snapchat's first hires in the UK.
In recent months the messaging app has created content for brands like Cadbury, Sony and John Lewis, for which it hosted a Lens campaign as part of the retailer's Buster the Boxer Christmas push.
More recently Snap was rumoured to have filed paperwork for an initial public offering (IPO), reportedly seeking a valuation of up to $30bn, a move that would make it one of the biggest tech IPOs in years.
