Coca-Cola is supporting its staple Christmas marketing with the launch of a new festive campaign centred on the giving aspect of the season.

With the Holidays are Coming ad on air and the Coca-Cola truck touring the UK, the soft drinks giant has now launched the second phase of its Christmas marketing with its ‘A Coke For Christmas’ campaign in what is the brand's biggest Christmas campaign in five years.

The spot features a young boy spreading festive cheer by giving bottles of Coca-Cola to the likes of his dad, mum and a hard-working shop assistant.

The campaign will span TV, on-pack promotions, PR and digital and will be supported through Coke TV with a series of festive Coke TV episodes. This includes an episode which sees the hosts visit FareShare headquarters to find out more about the work Coca-Cola and FareShare are doing this year which sees a meal donated for everyone who uploads a snap of their promotion 500ml pack.

Aedamar Howlett, marketing director for Coca-Cola UK, said: “Following a very successful summer campaign, we’ll continue the momentum with our biggest Christmas campaign in five years. Taking some firm fan favourites like the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour and combining with social media and live video, brings the keeps the campaign fresh and bang up to date.

The second phase of activity follows on from the Holidays Are Coming campaign which was brought to life through digital and social. The TVC aired on TV for the twenty-first time and on Twitter the #holidaysarecoming hashtag yielded a Coca-Cola Christmas Truck emoji.
