CarAdvice.com, Australia’s leading automotive content publisher, has appointed Else to develop and deliver a mobile-first website.

The brief is to enhance the current experience for the brand’s active readership by creating more relevant and powerful links between content. The new site also seeks to capitalise on CarAdvice’s broad and highly engaged audience, comprising in-market car buyers and auto enthusiasts alike, by encouraging them to generate interesting debate around great content.

Cam Smith, chief technology officer at Car Advice, said: “In 8 short years, the site has grown from humble roots to become an Australian market leader. Over that period, a dedicated team of passionate experts have created a wealth of premium video and long-form editorial content seeking to provide readers with comprehensive reviews that both entertain and inform.

“Whether you’re purchasing a car or just dreaming of one, quality content is central to the journey. Else understood our brand instinctively, and through their highly collaborative, user-centred approach have already begun to show great results.”

Gavin Edwards, user experience partner at Else, said: “The challenge we have is how to keep the debate live. Great content can quickly be buried and just because its ‘yesterday’s news’ doesn’t mean it’s not relevant – our aim is to enhance the platform by delivering relevant, engaging content experiences.”

Else will continue to work with CarAdvice.com throughout 2016 into 2017 on iterations to the existing site, including a new search experience.
