Nestle UK hands paid search business to Neo@Ogilvy

Nestlé UK has put Neo@Ogilvy in charge of its strategy for paid search, which was previously managed by Publicis Media's performance marketing arm Performics, The Drum understands.

Both Nestlé and Ogilvy declined to comment on the news, though a well placed source asserted the switch had taken place.

Publicis Media agency Zenith will continue to manage the bulk of the FMCG giant's media planning and buying in the UK after breaking Mindshare’s 10-year reign over the £60m account in 2014.

Nestlé has been one of the more adept FMCG marketers online, paying close attention to what its agencies are delivering and whether some of their expertise might be best brought in-house. This is particularly true of performance marketing, which the business said would become of a growing importance now that it is getting closer to being able to scale e-commerce.
