The first tournament kicks off this Thursday with NBA 2K17. Top three finishers of the 2K17 Major Tournament will win a prize pack featuring DualShock 4 and PlayStation gear.

As eSports continues to become more mainstream, features like ‘Tournaments’ will make it easier for less advanced players to enter the fray. Tournament entrants will need to create an ESL account, which will also give the company a wider base to market to.

To start, Tournaments will only support one on one matches.
